i really enjoyed my stay at las palmeras oceanview hotel and dive center. the deluxe room was comfortable, and the AC was a lovely perk. breakfast was delicious, and the staff was super friendly. i loved the deck with hammocks for soaking up the sun and the relaxing sound of ocean waves. the snorkeling experience with david was a highlight!

The diving experience was unforgettable! David's snorkeling tour was both exhilarating and delicious—cooked fish for lunch! Breakfast was flavorful too! The staff's warmth made it feel like home.

It was frustrating that the AC only worked during certain hours, leading to uncomfortable nights.

The Deluxe Double Room with Balcony featured a stunning sea view, perfect for stealing a moment to unwind. Having a balcony added a great touch for enjoying warm evenings and ocean breezes.

Some rooms lack air conditioning, turning the nights into a sweatbox. The loud reggae bar nearby blasts music late into the night, making it tough for light sleepers to get rest. During the first few hours, the heat was unbearable without AC, and with loud dogs and roosters, tranquility was hard to find. The restaurant’s early closing at 3 PM limited dining options later in the day, and the absence of a beach made for an unsatisfying seaside experience.

The on-site dive center provided an amazing opportunity for snorkeling with knowledgeable guides, making for a memorable underwater experience.

Unfortunately, there was a significant noise issue from the nearby Reggae bar, which made it difficult to relax and sleep at night.

Las Palmeras is a charming hotel right by the ocean. I stayed in the Deluxe Double Room with Balcony for three nights. The views from the balcony were stunning, perfect for enjoying a cool evening breeze. The staff were incredibly warm, helping me feel right at home. The on-site dive center offered some great diving experiences—especially snorkeling with David, who coordinated everything perfectly. The breakfast each morning featured fresh, delicious options, making it easy to kickstart the day. If I had to point out an inconvenience, there were times when the electricity went off from 6am to 1pm. That was somewhat unexpected but didn't impact my day too much because I was out exploring. However, a heads-up would have been helpful. Overall, a fantastic spot for diving and relaxing by the waves.

The location is excellent with breathtaking views over the harbor. The staff were genuinely welcoming and even helped carry my luggage from the ferry. Rooms were well-maintained, albeit slightly warm without AC. Dining options were limited on-site and the restaurant closes early.
